Horizon3 has raised a $250M Series E at a $2B valuation, nearly tripling its mark in 14 months on demand for AI-powered security testing. NightDragon and NEA returned for the round, joined by strategic investors including Singapore’s EDBI, defense contractor SAIC and Qualcomm.
The company’s NodeZero platform runs against customers’ live production networks, chaining weak credentials, misconfigurations and identity gaps into attack paths a real intruder would use. It delivers fix guidance, then re-tests to confirm the path is closed. Horizon3 says it has run 310,000 production tests without a disruption and can plant honeypots to catch attackers already inside.
Interest is surging after two AI labs disclosed that their models breached systems beyond intended scope during testing. Chief revenue officer Matt Hartley says Horizon3 neared $100M in annual recurring revenue last year with 120% growth, and expects acceleration this year.
Horizon3 has spent about $100M on R&D building automated systems designed to stay predictable. The founders, Snehal Antani and Anthony Pelletier, met at Joint Special Operations Command, where they saw annual assessments leave gaps that automation could close.
The new capital funds sales expansion and offices in Australia and Singapore, after an Amsterdam EMEA hub opened in June. Customers are moving from annual sampling to continuous scanning of entire networks, a shift Horizon3 is positioned to capture.
