Tripo AI, the generative 3D company, has raised approximately 3 billion yuan (about $445M) across Series B and Series B+ rounds, led by MPCi with backing from a deep bench of gaming and tech investors.
Strategic investors include Perfect World, BlueFocus, SPC, Yanqu Games, ThunderSoft and 37 Interactive Entertainment, alongside unnamed financial institutions. The funding lands as the company previews Tripo P2.0, a 3D-native foundation model that supports quad topology, an industry first, and builds on the P1.0 release.
Tripo’s roots are academic: the company was founded in 2023 by AI and computer graphics researchers. Its 3D-native foundation models now feed industries from manufacturing to interactive entertainment, and its tools generate production-ready assets from text or images.
The proceeds will accelerate model development, expand 3D data infrastructure, and fund computing capacity for training and inference, plus product commercialization.
The round signals sustained appetite for 3D AI as the technology moves from research novelty to commercial pipeline. With gaming giants among its backers, Tripo is positioned at the intersection of two of China’s strongest AI spending categories: interactive entertainment and embodied intelligence.
