The New York startup pairs human advisors with background agents that handle insurance paperwork for small employers.

Corridor has raised a $25M seed round led by Bain Capital Ventures to build a health benefits brokerage aimed squarely at small companies.

The New York startup sells employers a single point of contact for everything plan-related. Human advisors sit in front, while AI agents work in the background on administrative chores: confirming whether a doctor is inside a customer’s network, booking care and pushing updated insurance details to providers.

Aggarwal frames the company as a concierge for every employee and every manager on anything healthcare-related, which is a bigger claim than it sounds inside a 20-person business.

Corridor’s origin is personal. A running accident left founder Jackson Wagner with chronic pain and a list of complications that each had to be handled separately, which is roughly the experience the product now tries to remove. He had been a product lead at Scale AI, then went to UC Berkeley before building a clinical agent for musculoskeletal care with former Scale colleague Eric Qian. Aggarwal, a Cold Start partner at the time, thought the opportunity was bigger than one clinical niche, and the four launched Corridor.

BoxGroup joined the round, alongside executives from OpenAI, Scale AI and Ramp. Competition includes Ignition Benefits and Nava Benefits.

Timing matters here. Aggarwal notes that most small businesses choose their health plan in the fourth quarter, so the next few months are the startup’s real test of whether agents can hold down costs that brokers have long charged humans to manage.
