Gallatin AI raises $50M to forecast military supply shortages

The Series A backs Navigator, software the US Army and Air Force already use to manage logistics.

Gallatin AI has closed a $50M Series A to keep building Navigator, its software for military supply chains, with Silent Ventures and 8VC among the contributors. That comes on top of a $15M seed raised in 2024.

Based in El Segundo, California, the company sells Navigator to the US Army and Air Force, and says the platform is also usable by the Defense Department’s commercial logistics partners. Figuring out what supplies are needed and where is still a manual grind: staff page through long inventory reports, sift short ad hoc requests that land in internal chat tools, and sometimes pull readings from vehicle sensors that flag when fuel or another critical commodity is running low.

Navigator aggregates records from multiple systems into one standardized form and then renders them visually. It lists the assets a team supports and what each one requires – for aircraft, that means fuel, corrosion prevention sprays and spare parts – and turns some of that into graphs while overlaying other data on a map.

From there, the platform forecasts when supplies will run out using current inventory and past consumption, and it revises those estimates as new events arrive. Gallatin says the AI also flags weaknesses in resupply plans and drafts the related paperwork.

“The opportunity in front of us is bigger than building better software,” said chief product officer Brian Ballard, who frames the goal as giving sustainers time to decide “before constraints become mission problems.” It is the familiar defense-tech thesis: sell software that shortens decision cycles, not hardware that takes years to field.
