Meshy, a Sunnyvale-based company building foundation models for AI-powered 3D generation, has raised nearly $400M in Series B funding at a $1.5B valuation, marking the largest round yet in the AI 3D space.

The startup develops generative AI models that automate 3D content creation. Instead of hours of manual sculpting in tools like Blender or Maya, users can generate 3D meshes from text prompts, convert photos into complete 3D models, and apply realistic textures and materials automatically. The platform also supports auto-rigging for animation.

Meshy serves more than 12 million registered users worldwide. Its customers include major game companies like Nexon and NetEase Games, as well as top 3D printing brands including Bambu Lab, Creality, and Elegoo. The company plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate R&D and expand globally.

The backers of the round were not disclosed. The funding underscores the growing investor appetite for generative AI tools that replace traditionally labor-intensive creative workflows.
