A Limerick firm that keeps global enterprises running on Oracle’s JD Edwards software has collected €13M from BGF, one of the most active equity backers in Ireland and the UK.
The cash arrives weeks after Redfaire closed its purchase of eKal Solutions, which added human capital management, enterprise performance management, financials and supply chain capabilities to the stack.
Redfaire, founded in 2003, guides blue-chip customers through modernizing ERP estates and shifting to cloud and hybrid operations. It employs more than 200 people across Ireland, the UK, mainland Europe and North America, and anchors a JD Edwards consulting network spanning 23 countries as a founding partner of Redfaire International.
CEO and cofounder Brian McInerney says the firm wins by staying close to customers on their hardest ERP problems, and calls the investment a vote of confidence in that approach and the team behind it.
BGF, backed by the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, Bank of Ireland, AIB and Ulster Bank, holds €250M for private SMEs in the country and typically takes minority positions of €4M to €20M with follow-on capacity.
The money funds international expansion, service development and acquisitions. Alongside it, Redfaire named Glenn Timms, a former PwC corporate finance partner, as non-executive chair via BGF’s talent network – a sign the founder-led firm intends to keep buying its way to scale.
