Metriport, an open-source healthcare data platform, has raised $26M to give clinicians a fuller picture of patient history at the point of care.

Matrix led the round, according to the company’s announcement, which positions the funding behind a goal of answering any patient question at the bedside rather than sending staff hunting through records systems.

Metriport builds APIs that pull clinical data from electronic health records, labs and other sources into one place, with a developer-first approach that has won over digital health builders.

Its customers include Amazon One Medical, Sollis Health and Color Health, and the platform has become a popular starting point for startups that need patient data without building their own integrations.

Health systems and startups have been racing to fix fragmented patient data, and Metriport’s latest check adds to a steady stream of funding for healthcare infrastructure plays this year.
