BeamBerlin, the venture studio attached to German family group BEUMER, has led a €1.4M round into Logibot, a Belgian outfit whose software orchestrates warehouse robots. RDY Ventures, PMV and the BAN Business Angels network also took part.
The company pitches itself as a temp agency for robots. European logistics operators struggle to fill physically demanding roles, temporary staff cost up to 40% more than permanent hires, and turnover stays structurally high. Around 2.5 million people across Europe still sort parcels, move cages and staff loading docks by hand.
Rather than build hardware, Logibot supplies the software layer and matches clients with equipment. It says its platform can select, train and steer roughly 95% of the robots on the market, on the principle that the machine should fit the task.
The service covers flow analysis, validation inside a digital twin before anything is deployed, task-specific training, integration and remote teleoperation. Cameras calibrated per application fill the gap if a manufacturer disappears or stops meeting requirements, so clients are not locked to one supplier.
The team is small, at seven people. CEO Louis Verspreeuwen spent 12 years in logistics and international trade, including stints in China and Hong Kong, while CTO and co-founder Salimzhan Gafurov arrived with two robotics and AI doctorates and a spell leading engineering at Verne, Europe’s first robotaxi company.
