Cyera has extended its Series G by $400M, a round that values the New York data security company above $12B.
Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives led the financing, with Evolution Equity participating. The company plans to spend it on AI security capabilities, a deeper push into the US federal market and expansion across EMEA and APAC.
Governing access across people, software processes and AI agents is the product Cyera sells to enterprises. Its software follows what agents do, which tools they invoke and which records they query, all the way down to laptops, and folds in the management of identities that belong to no human.
The agent problem
Security vendors are converging on the same gap. As companies hand more work to autonomous software, the accounts those agents use become a fresh attack surface, and traditional identity tools were built to track people rather than processes that exist for a single task.
Cyera’s bet is that discovering and classifying sensitive data will anchor that market, because an agent cannot be trusted to touch records it was never meant to see. The extension hands it a war chest while rivals raise at similar clips.
