Prime Intellect, a startup that provides the computing power and software tools for enterprises to build their own AI agents, has raised a $130 million Series A at a $1 billion valuation. The round was led by Radical Ventures with participation from Nvidia Ventures, Intel Capital, Dell Technologies Capital, and Iconiq.
Founded in 2024, Prime Intellect has built what it calls a full-stack platform for agentic AI development, giving enterprises modular access to compute, reinforcement learning frameworks, and evaluation tools. The company says customers can build custom AI agents without relying on frontier labs like OpenAI or Anthropic.
Its approach has attracted clients including Ramp, Zapier, and Flapping Airplanes, driving the company to a $100 million annualized revenue run rate. Ramp used Prime Intellect to build an agent that beat frontier models on accuracy while running faster and cheaper.
The startup’s CEO Vincent Weisser said enterprises increasingly want to own their AI infrastructure rather than depend on closed-source providers that could change terms or sunset products without notice.
