Temple, the wearable health startup led by Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal, has acquired Longevous, a London-based longevity medicine practice, and is bringing its founders onto the team.
Board-certified physician Robert Mohr, with close to 20 years of clinical practice, becomes Chief Medical Officer, in charge of the evidence base behind Temple’s research and claims. Oxford-trained biomedical scientist Avi Roy, a Founders Health co-founder, takes the Head of Science post. Longevous keeps operating under Temple’s umbrella, serving the clients it already had.
Goyal said the deal grew out of a London dinner he nearly skipped. Mohr and Roy noticed Temple’s wearable, began using it to track their daily activity, and collaborated with the company’s science team for months before joining full-time became an obvious next step.
The acquisition adds clinical expertise and scientific publishing experience to Temple ahead of its commercial launch, pairing hardware with evidence-based longevity medicine.
