Digs, a startup building AI software for residential construction, has raised $25.3M in Series A funding with building products giant Builders FirstSource as the solo lead. The round comes with a five-year commercial agreement to integrate Digs’ platform across Builders FirstSource’s digital ecosystem, which serves more than 140,000 customers.

The Vancouver, Washington-based company, founded by Ty Frackiewicz and Ryan Fink, wants to drag homebuilding out of the spreadsheet era. Its software splits into DigsCloud, a shared data hub; DigsCanvas, which handles AI-assisted takeoffs and diagramming; and DigsCare, aimed at post-handoff warranty support. The end product is pitched as a Homefax for the home: a living digital record of what was built, including a 3D digital twin handed to homeowners at closing.

Builders FirstSource, a major distributor of building materials and value-added services, says the partnership will turn thousands of disconnected construction documents into a single source of truth spanning plans, specifications, selections, approvals, warranties and project history. The companies intend to connect workflows across estimating, procurement, construction and ongoing homeownership, with the goal of faster decisions, less rework and shorter project cycles.

The deal extends the builder relationship beyond move-in, adding personalized maintenance guidance and warranty support, and opens the door to new services across the full life of the home.
