ChipAgents, an AI-native startup that helps semiconductor companies optimize chip design workflows, has extended its Series A round to $134 million with $60 million in fresh backing from Micron Technology and MediaTek.

The extension comes just six months after ChipAgents closed its initial Series A round, reflecting the breakneck growth in demand for AI tools purpose-built for the semiconductor industry. The company says its annual recurring revenue grew 6x in the first half of 2026.

ChipAgents builds AI agents specifically trained on semiconductor design data, helping engineers accelerate tasks such as verification, test generation, and design-space exploration. The startup’s platform is designed to integrate directly into existing electronic design automation workflows used by chipmakers worldwide.

Having Micron and MediaTek as both investors and customers provides ChipAgents with deep domain expertise and real-world validation. The two chipmakers join a cap table that already included strategic semiconductor investors from the company’s initial Series A raise.

The new capital will go toward expanding ChipAgents’ engineering team and deepening the platform’s capabilities across more stages of the semiconductor design lifecycle.
