Israeli AI lab Decart is in advanced talks to sell itself for roughly $6B-$7B, with a deal potentially signed within a week, according to CTech. The talks were originally with Nvidia, but a larger bidder entered the picture and the founders switched course.
Sources told CTech the mystery suitor could be Elon Musk’s SpaceX, with Amazon and Israeli cloud company Nebius also believed to be interested. The process is being run out of the United States rather than Israel. Decart declined to comment.
A SpaceX acquisition would mark the company’s first R&D center in Tel Aviv, using Decart as its base. Musk has tracked the startup since 2024, when its real-time video generation game Oasis hit a million users in three days and beat ChatGPT on downloads. Musk replied “wow” after trying it.
Decart, co-founded by Dean Leitersdorf and Moshe Shalev, builds real-time world models for interactive AI. Its most recent funding round raised $300M at a valuation near $4B, with Nvidia among the investors, per The Wall Street Journal.
For Israel’s tech sector, a Decart sale at this price would be one of the largest exits of the year. It would also give Nvidia’s rivals or partners a serious foothold in real-time generative AI.
