Berlin startup omni:us joins adesso’s insurance AI platform

The German IT group folds the Berlin claims startup into its core insurance stack.

Dortmund-based IT group adesso has acquired omni:us, a Berlin startup that applies AI to insurance claims, folding the technology into its core insurance systems.

Founded in 2015, omni:us raised $56.5M across eight funding rounds. Its software handles no-touch automation for standardized claims and an agentic copilot for complex cases, analyzing claims data with insurance-specific logic.

adesso plans to embed the technology into its in|sure Ecosphere platform, which serves more than 50 insurance customers. omni:us will continue operating under its existing brand, the companies said.

The purchase deepens adesso’s AI portfolio at a moment when carriers are automating claims processing to cut costs. Terms were not disclosed.
