The finger is becoming a computer port, and a Bengaluru startup is spending to prove it. Ultrahuman has collected $70M, with Qualcomm Ventures among the backers, to push its smart ring beyond sleep scores into software, gaming and AI interactions.
The financing values the company at $365M, roughly three times the $120M mark it carried in 2023, according to a person familiar with the deal. TechCrunch reports $65M of the total is primary equity with $5M in debt. Labcorp, Alpha Wave, Blume Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners and Alteria Capital also joined.
A ring powered by Qualcomm silicon is in development, replacing the Nordic Semiconductor chips in today’s devices. Founder and CEO Mohit Kumar frames the hardware as a precise pointing tool that also reads physiology, unlike a smartwatch that behaves like a phone on the wrist. Software updates due by the end of September will bring game-controller and AI-interaction features to existing Ring Air and Ring Pro owners, plus room for third-party developers.
The money arrives while the core business compounds. Annual revenue run rate is $140M, up about 45% in a year, with a $200M target by January 2027. Roughly 800,000 rings have shipped so far, up from about 700,000 in February.
