Clay has raised $115M in Series D funding at a $7.1B valuation, adding $2.1B to its worth since the start of the year.

Wellington Management led the round, joined by Alphabet’s growth fund CapitalG, Sequoia, Meritech and others. The company sells AI software that helps business-to-business sales teams find and prioritize buyers.

Users describe a target audience in a chat box and Clay surfaces matching companies plus the events that create openings, such as a retailer that just opened stores. The platform enriches records from more than 200 external data sources under a single contract, replacing the separate subscriptions sales teams usually juggle. A feature called Waterfall scans those databases one by one until it finds the detail a representative needs.

Clay then ranks leads by revenue potential and drafts tailored outreach, even assembling pitch decks when a prospect shows interest.

The valuation jump reflects the premium investors are paying for AI that sits close to revenue. Clay competes with data providers and customer relationship management vendors racing to add autonomous prospecting, but its aggregation strategy has made it a default layer for go-to-market teams.
