Helsinki startup Zero wants agents to retire the sales pipeline

Reps spend more of the working day typing into a CRM than talking to buyers, and Helsinki’s Zero thinks the software itself is the reason. The startup left private beta this week with 8.93 million euros ($10.3M) in seed funding behind it.

Primary Venture Partners, based in New York, led. Greens, Defiant, Inception Fund and the founders of Silo AI, Langdock, Supercell and Lovable joined in. The cap table already held 20VC and PostHog co-founder James Hawkins, plus operator funds tied to executives at Meta, OpenAI, Dropbox, Shopify, Spotify and Wolt. A 2.34 million euro ($2.7M) pre-seed, led by 20VC, closed in December 2024.

Tuomo Riekki co-founded Smartly.io before starting Zero in 2024, and Santtu Koivumaki ran that company’s go-to-market across five markets. Their target is the record-keeping layer itself. Agents assemble prospect lists, send outbound email and watch customer health once onboarding ends, so handoffs between prospecting, sales and success teams stop requiring separate tools.

Fabian Hedin, Lovable’s co-founder and chief technology officer and an angel in the round, said knowledge work keeps growing more autonomous while legacy systems refuse to move.

Switching over doubled new business for at least one private beta customer, Teamspective. What remains open is whether a single full-stack operator plus agents can cover the ground a whole revenue team covers today.
