Revolut is selling connectivity now, not just accounts. The neobank’s German mobile plan costs EUR 14.99 monthly, carries no minimum term and no switching fees, and is bought entirely inside the Revolut app. Month-to-month cancellation is allowed.
The rollout reaches Germany fourth, trailing earlier launches in the Netherlands, Poland and Britain. More than three million German customers will get access gradually across the coming weeks.
A single tier exists. It bundles 120 GB of 5G at up to 100 Mbit/s, then unlimited 2 Mbit/s once the allowance runs out, plus unlimited domestic calls and texts, 40 GB of European roaming without throttling, and a Messaging Pass that keeps chat apps working in over 140 countries without touching the data bucket. One eSIM carries both the German plan and travel data, existing numbers can be kept or new ones issued, and up to three extra numbers fit under one contract, with vanity digits costing more. NordVPN comes free, RevPoints can cover the fee in full or partly, and 5G is always on, Revolut confirmed, though speeds remain capped at 100 Mbit/s. Calling from abroad is not yet possible.
Telefonica Deutschland supplies the network. 1GLOBAL is technical partner, and Revolut sits between as intermediary. Elyas Sadou, its general manager of telecom, said the company is proving that mobile can be incredibly simple. Additional markets are certain, Revolut told Trending Topics, though whether Austria makes the list remains unstated. Retention is the goal, the same reasoning behind ChatGPT Go joining paid plans and its pursuit of a Swiss banking licence. Rivals move too: N26 relies on 1GLOBAL over Vodafone’s network, and Klarna sold a US plan from 2025. Price pressure stays real, with freenet’s crash-tarife offering 100 GB on Vodafone for EUR 11.99, yet Revolut’s lighter throttle past the cap looks comparatively gentle.
