A Lisbon drone maker with a NATO registration now has the capital to build at scale.

Beyond Vision closed more than €28M co-led by Índico Capital Partners and Lince Capital, with follow-on money from ActiveCap, a shareholder since 2024. The company was founded in 2013 and is run by chief executive Dário Pedro and chairman Luís Miguel Campos.

It started as a software house, then moved into unmanned aerial systems with cloud-based fleet management, earning a place on NATO’s supplier list. The team now numbers around 150, its 2025 revenue target was exceeded, and its clients span military and civilian buyers in several countries.

Building for demand that is not slowing

Most of the money goes to industrial capacity and operational infrastructure, with the rest into R&D on the aircraft’s AI algorithms and the software layer that coordinates them. Commercial expansion into new markets comes third, aimed at defence, security and critical infrastructure monitoring.

Índico managing general partner Stephan de Moraes said buyers in those sectors now treat sovereign, dependable technology as a strategic requirement, and argued Beyond Vision pairs precision hardware with competitive software cost.

European defence procurement has been the clearest tailwind in the region’s venture market this year, and drone makers are among the biggest beneficiaries.
