Two of the co-founders of Swedish autonomous truck maker Einride are turning investors. Robert Falck and Linnéa Kornehed Falck have launched Navisalma, a venture firm targeting around €450M in European deep tech over the next three years.
The couple built the firm with Robert Westerdahl, a former McKinsey partner. Navisalma plans to focus on robotics and other capital-intensive fields where Europe has strong research but a patchy record of commercial scale-up.
The money is not raised yet. Navisalma expects to close an initial €40M within the next month, most of it already committed by the founders and other investors. That first vehicle covers operating costs and some seed investments; a larger €450M pool for deployment would follow.
The launch adds to a wave of European operators-turned-investors, as founders who navigated hardware and logistics businesses use their credibility to court limited partners. Einride itself raised heavily during the autonomous-truck boom, and the Falcks’ network is likely to open doors across Nordic industrial investors.
Deep tech remains one of Europe’s sharpest pain points: brilliant research, scarce growth capital. Navisalma’s ambition is to be the bridge.
