Lexroom has completed its first acquisitions, buying French legal AI company Query Juriste and Bulgarian startup Praven Intelekt to extend its reach across Europe’s civil law markets.
The deals add roughly 1,200 customers and give the Italian company its first foothold in Central and Eastern Europe. Terms were not disclosed. Query Juriste brings a legal research platform tied to more than five million French and European documents, while Praven Intelekt counts more than 900 customers in Bulgaria.
The founders and teams of both companies will stay on, with the two brands folding gradually into Lexroom. Etienne Le Guay will lead French operations, and Siyanna Lilova becomes head of Central and Eastern Europe.
Lexroom builds what it calls a data-first AI operating system for legal work, structuring certified legal sources across jurisdictions rather than pointing a general-purpose model at local law. After expanding organically into Germany and Spain, it now serves more than 20,000 customers across five European markets and passed €20M in annual recurring revenue this summer.
The buying spree comes four months after a $50M Series B led by Left Lane, with Base10 Partners, Eurazeo and others participating, bringing total funding past $73M. The roll-up strategy is unusual in legal tech, where most AI startups grow inside a single jurisdiction. Lexroom is betting that local expertise plus shared technology is the fastest route to a category-defining European platform.
