Implicity, the French startup using AI to monitor cardiac device patients, has raised €35M in a round led by growth investor IRIS, which has offices in Paris, Berlin and Munich, with Five Arrows, part of Rothschild & Co’s alternatives division, also investing. The company cites evidence tying its platform to 26% lower mortality among monitored patients.

Founder Arnaud Rosier, an electrophysiologist who still practices part-time, started the company nine years ago when alerts from pacemakers and defibrillators began outpacing what clinics could review. Implicity’s platform gathers data from five device manufacturers and hospital records. Its Signal HF product predicts which patients may need hospitalization and won FDA clearance about two years ago, while a second product filters false alarms using medication history and clinical records.

The platform is used daily at more than 250 medical centers monitoring over 120,000 patients, including major French public hospital networks, and Implicity employs about 120 people.

The capital will fund international expansion, chiefly commercial teams in the United States, where Implicity has operated from Cambridge, Massachusetts since 2022, and in Germany, plus acquisitions of smaller rivals. Rosier notes US competitors such as Murj and PaceMate mainly help clinics review device data rather than build their own medical AI. Long-term success requires robust technology, strict regulatory clearance and undeniable clinical utility, said IRIS partner Nicolas Herschtel, a former Doctolib board member.
