Fryte Mobility books €35M to slot electric trucks into charging windows

Electric trucking has a logistics problem as much as a charging problem: fleets plan routes blind to charger availability, while charge point operators get no notice of arriving vehicles or their energy needs.

Berlin-based Fryte Mobility has raised €35M to close that gap, in a round co-led by 4impact capital and Rethink Ventures, with existing backers Revent, F-LOG and accilium ventures plus angels joining.

The company builds open software that links transport management platforms to charge point management systems through industry standards such as OCPI, folding tour planning and energy demand into one operation. Fleets get guaranteed cross-border slots; operators get predictable utilisation.

Open interfaces are the whole game, according to co-founder and chief technology officer Sebastian Wolff. Hooking into transport management systems is the next milestone now that the charging half runs live.

Fryte says it has processed more than 200 end-to-end bookings, from dispatcher planning through driver execution to operator confirmation, across multi-provider sites. Partners include TRATON Charging Solutions with MAN Charge and Go, FIEGE, Fraport, Energie Südbayern and Dettendorfer Energy.

4impact founding partner Pauline Wink said electric trucks are approaching total-cost parity with diesel in several European countries, a shift that takes the continent from tens of thousands of eTrucks to hundreds of thousands by 2030. The capital funds commercial hiring and deeper integrations.
