Preventive medicine sells a clear promise: imaging shows where you stand, bloodwork shows where you are heading.

Zurich’s Aeon has closed a seed extension and taken over German blood diagnostics platform Aware Health, lifting total seed funding past €12M ($14M) on top of an €8.2M round in June 2025.

Araya Ventures co-led, joined by existing investors Concentric, GoHub Ventures, Kadmos Capital, Calm/Storm Ventures, N&V Capital and Bigwave Capital.

Aeon runs AI-powered whole-body check-ups, pairing whole-body MRI that can flag more than 500 anomalies across the brain, organs and vessels with blood diagnostics covering over 100 biomarkers. Founder and CEO Tim Seithe said imaging shows where a patient stands while bloodwork shows where they are heading, and AI connects the two into prediction. Absorbing Aware Health, he added, pulls that roadmap forward by two years.

Europe’s preventive health category is filling out fast: Zurich-based Ahead Health raised €5.1M and then €8.7M, while Paris-based Lucis secured €17.1M for AI-supported blood biomarker testing.

Why it matters: diagnosis is shifting toward recurring screening subscriptions, and platforms that own both imaging and lab data control the longitudinal record.
