Brothers behind Crux Analytics win €1.9M for bank sales agents

A sales execution engine built for the smallest banking customers has drawn €1.9M in seed money for Crux Analytics.

Castle Creek Launchpad, a joint venture whose limited partners are 34 community banks, led the raise. Chartway Ventures, One Washington Financial and Curql joined, lifting cumulative funding to €2.8M.

The company targets a specific inefficiency. Serving small business clients is relationship work, but staff at smaller institutions spend most of their time on the operational tasks behind a deal – research, outreach, tracking – rather than on the relationship itself. Crux replaces that enablement stack with agentic workflows that identify and prioritise prospects, run personalised outreach and monitor relationships as they change.

Founded in 2023 by British brothers Jacob and Nathan Bennett, the startup is based in the United States. Jacob’s motivation came from running a small business and consulting for large corporates, where he watched institutions consistently under-serve smaller clients.

The investor list is the interesting part. Community banks and credit unions are not typical venture backers, but they are the customers, which hands Crux a distribution channel most fintech startups have to buy.

Whether agentic outreach beats a competent relationship manager is still unproven. The pitch is productivity: the same team, more deals.
