Kuro Technology has raised €10M to build what it calls the AI foundation for general contractors, the companies that run large construction projects.
Munich and Berlin investor UVC Partners led the round, with participation from Foundamental, Realyze Ventures and helloworld. UVC manages more than €800M and has backed Isar Aerospace and Proxima.
Founded in November 2024 and based in Berlin, Kuro now employs 16 people. Its software supports estimating, risk analysis and knowledge retention, the back-office work that chews through a contractor’s week.
Adoption among large builders is the pitch’s strongest signal. Kuro says six of its twelve customers rank among the twenty largest general contractors in the German-speaking region.
Construction has been slow to digitise, but thin margins reward small gains in estimating accuracy and fewer repeated mistakes. Vendors selling to contractors also face a fragmented market where every firm runs its own mix of tools and processes, which is exactly where a standardised AI layer can travel.
The company plans to use the funding to expand its platform and grow its team in Berlin.
