Professor Benjamin Tee, vice president for ecosystem building at NUSX, opens up the National University of Singapore’s lab-to-market engine and its push to build globally competitive deep tech spin-outs.
He has lived both sides of that transition, spending years developing electronic skin and sensors that give machines a sense of touch before founding companies of his own, and explains how he judges which research should stay in the lab.
