Nvidia, during a Paris appearance by chief executive Jensen Huang, disclosed four French startups it intends to support, part of a European investment push the company values at nearly $10B.
The portfolio spans healthcare, robotics, planning software and materials discovery. Doctolib, established in 2013, claims 100 million patients and 580,000 health professionals rely on its services and has operated on Nvidia technology for a year. Genesis AI, with operations in Paris and Palo Alto, emerged from stealth in July 2025 following a $105M seed round co-led by Eclipse Ventures and Khosla Ventures. Pigment, the planning platform launched in 2019, counts Unilever, Merck and Klarna among its customers following a $145M Series D in 2024. Entalpic, founded in 2024, focuses on materials at atomic scale.
Huang characterized the investments as catalyzing Europe’s AI revolution. Nvidia did not specify the size of the four stakes, which Les Echos reports as minority positions. Previously, the company has backed French startups including Alice&Bob, Gradium and Scintil Photonics.
The European commitment combines equity and infrastructure spending without separating the two figures.
Separately, Nvidia is contributing compute resources valued at $250M over five years to advance UK research into agentic safety and security. Part of that commitment supports the SOFAIR lab at UCL, BOLD at Oxford and Imperial College London.
This announcement arrives weeks following Nvidia’s agreement to acquire France-founded Hugging Face in a transaction valued at approximately $12.9B.
