Festival promoters spend most of the year on logistics, not lineups. Easol thinks agents can take a bite out of that.
The London experience-commerce platform closed a €26.78M ($30M) Series A extension, split between €17.85M of equity and an €8.92M debt facility. Total funding to date lands at €53.57M. Y Combinator and Viola Credit are attached to the respective slices, with Tiger Global, Foundation Capital, Notion Capital, FMZ Ventures and Eight Roads among the equity backers.
Teammates is the product moment
Alongside the cheque, Easol launched Teammates, a set of AI agents aimed at the operators behind festivals, tours and experiences. The company also named new customers including Coachella, betting that marquee names pull smaller promoters onto the platform.
The pitch rests on a specific gap. Event businesses run on email threads, spreadsheets and a dozen disconnected tools, and the people doing that work are usually a lean team stretched across ticket sales, accommodation, payments and marketing. Easol already owns the booking and payments rails; adding agents means it can sell automation on top of a transaction it was already processing.
Why debt is in the mix
The structure is telling. Roughly a third of the raise is a credit facility rather than equity, a familiar shape for commerce infrastructure companies that need working capital to support customer cash flow without giving away more of the cap table.
Experience commerce is a category that got hammered by the post-pandemic reset and then quietly rebuilt around premium, sellout events. Easol’s bet is that the operators who survived now want software that does the administration, not another dashboard to check.
Whether agents can handle the messy, weather-dependent, contractor-heavy reality of a festival is the open question. The next few festival seasons will answer it.
