Greentech Alliance, a Berlin-based network for sustainable technology businesses, has agreed to acquire Intermobility, a Paris transport and mobility network with more than 1,000 corporate and public-sector members. Terms were not disclosed.
The combined group will count over 5,000 members and partners across 25 countries, pulling mobility operators, city authorities, climate investors and startups into a single address book.
Chief executive Charles Newton Price framed the gap as organizational rather than technical, noting that money, founders and host cities are all present but seldom connected. Intermobility founder Francois Hoehlinger will join the alliance’s board.
The timing is pointed. Transport emissions were 25.3% above 1990 levels in 2023 and accounted for roughly 31% of EU output, while Transport & Environment estimates the sector needs EUR310B of annual investment by 2030 to hit climate targets.
Private capital has been heading the other way. Via ID and Dealroom figures show 654 European mobility rounds in 2025, against 785 the year before, for $10.1B in private funding.
Greentech Alliance was founded in Berlin in 2020 and now counts more than 3,000 community members, including over 700 investors, and has arranged upwards of 2,000 introductions between its members.
The acquisition buys distribution for that model. Intermobility’s members are the buyers of mobility technology, and the alliance’s investors need places to deploy into a sector that has struggled to move from pilot to scale.
