Improbable founder Herman Narula argues that within five years most purchases will be made by software agents rather than people, a shift he says will reorder how companies are built and how products get sold. His answer is Bolter, a platform spun out of Improbable where humans and AI agents work side by side in the same group chats, building and hosting software and following set rules for business processes.
In conversation with Sifted founder John Thornhill, Narula makes the case that Europe has to back open source AI to keep control of its own data, and predicts that product quality will matter more than marketing once agents handle the shopping.
