Nvidia quietly invested $196M into fintech giant Revolut

Nvidia invested $196 million into British fintech Revolut, according to Companies House filings uncovered by Tech Funding News. The investment makes Nvidia one of Revolut’s most notable corporate backers.

The filing reveals Nvidia’s stake in Revolut at a time when the chipmaker has been diversifying beyond its core GPU business. Revolut, valued at $45 billion in its most recent funding round, has been expanding its banking and payments platform across Europe, the US, and Asia.

The investment is unusual for Nvidia, which typically backs AI infrastructure and chip-adjacent startups through its NVentures arm. Revolut, while a technology company, operates primarily in financial services — a sector Nvidia has largely stayed out of.

Revolut has been preparing for an IPO, filing its UK accounts early and reporting its first profitable year in 2025. The company now serves more than 50 million customers globally and has been expanding its business banking and wealth management products.

Neither Nvidia nor Revolut have commented publicly on the investment.
