A London startup founded just seven months ago has surfaced from stealth with $38 million and a blue-chip roster of backers that includes Datadog’s chief executive and an OpenAI product leader. Arrakis raised a $30 million Series A from Blossom Capital with Accel participating, plus additional angel capital from executives Olivier Pomel, Olivier Godement and Cambridge Aerospace founder Junaid Hussain.

The company was launched in January by Rafael Quintanilla, previously an Accel investor, along with ex-Palantir operators Haroun Beltaifa and Romain Fouilland, and Mikhail Galkov from Delivery Hero. Arrakis sends forward-deployed engineers into customer sites to build and launch AI agents tailored to industrial operations, taking a model-agnostic stance.

Its target markets span aerospace, energy, logistics, manufacturing, construction and telecommunications. The startup says it has already closed contracts with NYSE-listed enterprises and will use the proceeds to establish offices in New York and the Middle East.
