CreatorFi has raised $45M to lend against the revenue creators earn on platforms such as Roblox, Spotify, TikTok and YouTube. The financing, a mix of equity and debt, backs a growing wave of creator-led media companies that struggle to raise capital through traditional channels.

Co-founders Billy Huang, who serves as chief executive, and Jack Cameron built CreatorFi around a simple observation: technology has made it cheap to launch an IP-based business, but institutional money has not followed. Huang points to game makers who once needed hundreds of millions to publish a title and now ship hits from a bedroom on Roblox or Fortnite.

CreatorFi advances capital against platform payouts and also offers conventional business loans, effectively acting as a bank for the creator economy. The company previously secured a $12M credit facility in 2025.

Media built around individual creators has become one of venture capital’s most contested themes as audiences fragment away from traditional publishers. Investors backing CreatorFi are betting that the businesses generating cult-like followings on modern platforms will need growth capital, and that revenue-based advances fit their cash-flow patterns better than equity alone.
