HyImpulse Technologies has raised more than €50M in a Series A extension to scale its hybrid-propulsion rockets, bringing Europe another step toward independent access to orbit. JOIN Capital and Ace Capital Partners co-led the round.
New investors include North Ventures, BW-Capital, Bayern Kapital and the German Aerospace Center, the national space agency known as DLR, alongside continued support from existing shareholder Campus Founders Ventures.
The Neuenstadt am Kocher company builds launch vehicles that pair paraffin-based fuel with liquid oxygen, a hybrid design with fewer moving parts than traditional solid or liquid rockets. It operates the SR75 suborbital platform and is working toward orbital launch services for commercial, research and defence customers.
HyImpulse says its order book exceeds €350M, and total equity plus public funding now tops €125M. The next SR75 launch is planned from Scotland before the end of 2026.
European governments and investors have poured money into launch startups since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine exposed the region’s reliance on foreign rockets. HyImpulse is one of several private players trying to give the continent its own route to space, alongside rivals working on reusable and solid-fuel designs.
