Melbourne’s Heidi Health has raised $340M in new funding, combining a $100M Series C with growth capital.
Blackbird led the Series C at a $900M valuation, with Phoenix Court, Point72 Private Investments and Headline participating. General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund provided a further $240M in growth investment.
Founded by chief executive Dr. Thomas Kelly, Heidi builds what it calls an AI Care Partner for clinicians. Its Scribe product listens ambiently to record patient history and symptoms, drafts notes and organises records, while Evidence surfaces medical research at the point of care with inline citations and risk scoring, answering more than 10 million queries since March. The company has also shipped a secure wearable audio device and a voice-to-text tool.
Heidi says its software serves clinicians across 190 countries and 110 languages, supporting more than 175 million patient visits.
Adoption is outrunning governance
An American Medical Association survey found 81% of physicians now use augmented AI, more than double a 2023 poll. The AMA’s John Whyte cautioned that clinicians remain wary of AI making judgement calls.
Heidi’s enterprise activation rate sits near 62% across major health systems, putting it among the faster-scaling clinical AI vendors.
