Wiremind banks €35M after 12 years without outside money

Twelve years of self-funded growth is unusual in European software, and rarer still when the company turns a profit the whole way. Wiremind has now broken that streak deliberately.

The Paris-based AI software company has closed a €35M round, its first outside funding. New investors IronWave, formerly Wendel Growth, Bpifrance Investissement through its Large Venture fund, and Seaya Andromeda all joined.

Wiremind sells optimisation software to air cargo, transport and live events operators, three industries where capacity planning is complex and margins depend on getting the schedule right. Its tools forecast demand and allocate constrained capacity across routes and venues.

Co-founders Colin Girault-Matz and Charles Pierre have kept a majority stake, according to the company, which matters for how the money gets spent. Profitable businesses can choose which growth to fund rather than chasing the next round.

Air cargo has been a quiet winner of the e-commerce boom, with freight capacity decisions now driven as much by parcel volumes as by traditional trade flows. Events operators face similar problems in reverse, matching ticket demand to fixed venue capacity.
