A warranty claim is nobody’s favourite task, yet Claimlane just convinced investors it is worth €5.6M. The Series A backs customer-specific AI agents that handle repairs, replacements and refunds for brands and retailers.
Verb Ventures took the lead, and Skagerak Capital plus Vendep Capital joined in. The customer list runs from Skechers and Hummel to Black Diamond and tonies.
The paperwork nobody wants to own
Blame for a damaged product can land on a retailer, a manufacturer, a supplier or an outside repair shop, all tracking cases in systems that do not talk to each other, so resolution drags and arguments multiply.
Claimlane puts that whole chain on one platform. Customers, retailers, brands and service partners share the case, which gets judged against warranty terms and supplier contracts before repairs, swaps, refunds or credit notes are arranged.
Each new agent learns a client’s catalogue, policies and internal processes. Routine handling shifts to software while a person still signs off on calls that need judgement.
North America is quietly leading
Chief executive Anders Sommer frames the pitch around both sides of the relationship: settle cases in a way that earns trust, recover more from goods that would otherwise be scrapped, and free staff to work on the business itself.
America already supplies more new customers than any other region this year, so expansion there is the obvious move. Sector-specific tools follow, aimed first at electronics, furniture and outdoor gear.
Aftersales remains underbuilt even as retail software grows crowded. Brands that treat claims as a cost to bury, rather than a reason to keep a buyer, will decide how large this market becomes.
