A new security startup called Neo has launched from stealth with $100 million in funding to develop what it describes as a dedicated control layer for securing autonomous AI agents in enterprise environments.

The round was co-led by Sequoia Capital and Accel, with participation from several prominent angel investors in the AI infrastructure space. Neo plans to use the capital to build out its engineering team and deploy its agent security platform to early customers.

The startup’s core product monitors AI agent behavior in real time, detecting anomalous actions, enforcing policy boundaries, and providing audit trails for agent-driven decisions. As enterprises deploy increasingly autonomous AI agents, the market for dedicated security tooling is expected to grow rapidly alongside adoption.

Neo’s founders previously led security teams at major cloud providers and say the current generation of AI agents lacks the guardrails that enterprise compliance teams require.
