The transaction was tucked into Schneider’s half-year results, and the target will report inside the buyer’s Energy Management segment. It runs parallel to a $3.1B agreement for industrial data specialist Cognite, part of a wider effort to embed AI across the energy transition.

AiDASH flags vegetation encroachment, storm damage and wildfire threats along transmission corridors before outages or blazes occur. One Fortune 500 utility put more than 50,000 miles of distribution lines on the platform, lines that previously sat unchecked for years between manual inspections. The startup now serves over 140 utilities and monitors more than 500,000 miles of infrastructure.

The company was started in 2019 by Abhishek Vinod Singh, Rahul Saxena and Nitin Das, with bases in Palo Alto, the Washington, D.C. area and Bengaluru. Its investor roster includes Lightrock, Shell Ventures, G2 Venture Partners and National Grid Partners, and it banked a $58.5M Series C in early 2024.

Climate adaptation captures only about 10% of global climate finance, making exits this size rare. For Schneider, the deal adds predictive analytics aimed at the grid-hardening wave, as utilities boost resilience spending after years of wildfire losses.
