Behavioral health clinics are the latest target for B2B software money. Updata Partners has invested $50M in Hi Rasmus, a Nashville-based company whose platform handles clinical operations for autism and behavioral health providers.

The strategic minority investment will fund product innovation, AI features, enterprise capabilities, integrations, clinical outcomes research and a larger team, the company said.

Hi Rasmus sells a single system that runs a therapy practice: clinical data collection, care delivery workflows, scheduling, outcomes reporting and AI-assisted tools, all organized around applied behavior analysis, the dominant treatment approach in autism care. Its users span behavioral health organizations, schools, practitioners and families.

Founder and chief executive Nikolaj Hendriksen started the company in 2021, and it says its software now supports more than 19.6 million hours of client sessions a year. That scale tracks a surge in demand for autism services that has long outrun the supply of qualified clinicians.

Updata, a veteran investor in B2B software, is betting that providers consolidate around platforms that manage both the clinical record and the operational workflow as payers and regulators demand measurable outcomes.

Terms beyond the headline investment were not disclosed.
