Sikka’s Hang Ten banks $53M in a second seed weeks later

Hang Ten Systems has banked a further $53M in seed funding, less than three months after its first raise. That takes the enterprise AI services company started by former Infosys chief executive Vishal Sikka to $85M across both rounds.

The lead came from Xora Innovation, an early-stage investor backed by Singapore’s Temasek. Mayfield, which ran the earlier $32M tranche, returned, alongside Aramco Ventures.

It advises large enterprises on transformation and applied AI, then delivers the work. Agentic code generation and a reusable skills library carry most of it, with domain specialists filling the gaps. Hang Ten argues the method trims both the expense and the schedule of a conventional systems integrator engagement. Assignments have ranged over areas such as human resources, finance analytics and software development.

Sikka told TechCrunch the build phase has “basically become close to zero marginal cost, close to zero time.” The checks landed five weeks apart, and in that window the firm signed a string of multimillion-dollar enterprise contracts, several of them multiyear programs and a few already finished. Customers plus advanced prospects reach a combined 21 large enterprises, and one committed to a multimillion-dollar deal 25 days after a first meeting.

Two customers were named. At Saudi Arabian Oil Co., Hang Ten is building applications across several business functions. Siemens Gamesa, the wind business of Siemens Energy AG, signed up two months back with a list of outcomes to prove. Vinod Philip, chief executive of the wind unit, said the delivery impressed him on both speed and quality, and the engagement has since expanded.

The money funds delivery capacity, a bigger engineering bench and platform work. Staffing stays thin at 20 to 25 people spread from the Middle East and Australia to the United States, with Europe and India next on the hiring map.
