Osavul, a Ukrainian-founded security startup, has closed an €8.5M Series A to grow the platform it uses to catch hybrid threats before they land.
The round takes Osavul’s total raised to roughly €12M. 33N Ventures, a European cybersecurity investor, led it, alongside Balnord, G+D Ventures and returning backer 42CAP.
Ukrainians Dmytro Plieshakov and Dmytro Bilash founded Osavul in the wake of Russia’s full-scale invasion, initially to surface disinformation. The product has widened since: it combs open-source and paid data feeds for signs of espionage, sabotage, cyber intrusions and influence operations that surface online before an attack becomes obvious.
NATO relies on the tools to track and make sense of threat traffic. Osavul says it handles more than a billion data points every month across 100-plus countries and counts government clients in 10 nations. Over the past year, the company says its contract revenue has multiplied by roughly four.
Chief executive Plieshakov puts it plainly: “Hybrid attacks are no longer a government problem alone.” Lenders, ports, transport networks and energy suppliers now meet the same foes, he says, yet most cannot see an attack building.
The round tests whether that pitch travels past defense ministries. Should early-warning intelligence harden into its own enterprise category, Osavul will find itself up against bigger security vendors already chasing those budgets.
