Revolut has passed the $115 billion valuation threshold through a secondary share sale that allows early employees and investors to cash out stakes, the company confirmed Thursday.

The digital bank, which has been preparing for a highly anticipated initial public offering, said the transaction was driven by strong demand from institutional investors seeking exposure to one of Europe’s most valuable private fintech companies.

Revolut has expanded rapidly from its roots as a currency exchange app into a full-service financial platform offering banking, trading, and lending products across multiple markets. The company reported profitability for the first time in 2024 and has continued to grow revenue through 2026.

The secondary sale does not dilute existing shareholders and allows the company to delay its IPO timeline while maintaining momentum in private markets that have grown increasingly selective about fintech valuations.
