A German startup riding the wave of AI-powered customer service has locked down $15 million in seed capital. Telli, based in Berlin, pulled together the round led by Redalpine. Cherry Ventures, Y Combinator and Mutschler Ventures also wrote checks. Total outside money now stands at $18.5 million for the company, founded last year by three engineers.
Its platform, built around an AI helper it calls Charlie, manages customer conversations across voice calls, web chat, text messages and email. The company plans to spend the money on more engineers and sales staff as well as better voice capabilities.
