Holo’s founding thesis was that a mortgage should not require a broker, a stack of paper and a month of waiting. Gulf investors have now put money behind the idea. The Dubai fintech raised $22M in a Series A at what it calls one of the region’s largest rounds of 2025.
Saudi investor Impact46 led, drawing in Mubadala, Rua Growth Fund, anb seed and MoreThan Capital. Salica Oryx Fund and Dubai Future District Fund, both existing holders, came back in.
A comparison engine for home loans
Holo lets buyers compare live mortgage and refinancing offers from multiple banks, apply online and track progress with help from mortgage specialists. Its Hub product connects estate agents with pre-approved buyers to shorten the property search.
That second piece matters more than it sounds. Pre-approval is where most purchases stall, because a buyer who cannot prove financing is a liability for a seller in a fast market.
Saudi Arabia is the destination
The capital is earmarked for expansion into Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, plus product and engineering hiring. Holo opened a Riyadh office in 2024 and has been adding AI-driven mortgage tools since.
The market math explains the appetite. The UAE residential market is projected to grow from $143B in 2025 to $217B by 2030, and Saudi Arabia’s is estimated at $203B, both expanding faster than most European markets.
Founders Michael Hunter and Arran Summerhill say profitability in the UAE funded the expansion into what they see as higher-growth territory. The company claims more than 24,000 homeowners served since launch.
The risk is regulatory fragmentation across borders, since mortgage rules change at each frontier.
