Insight Partners has led a $40 million Series B into DataBahn, a Dallas startup whose software manages the flow of enterprise data feeding AI systems. Forgepoint, GTM Capital and S3 Ventures also put in money, lifting the company’s total raised to $59 million.

The startup’s pitch is that AI agents, copilots and analytics tools are drowning companies in data movement costs. Its platform ingests telemetry from hundreds of enterprise systems, enriches and governs the information, then routes only the data a given application or model actually needs, with extra context pulled in on demand rather than duplicated across platforms.

A newly introduced capability called Autonomous In-Stream Data Intelligence, or AIDI, analyzes and acts on data as it flows through systems instead of waiting until it reaches a destination. DataBahn argues this lets organizations apply governance and automate decisions before data reaches AI models, security platforms or analytics tools.

The company says customers in healthcare, financial services, manufacturing and transportation are already on the platform, and it reports more than 400% year-over-year revenue growth, 180% net revenue retention and zero customer churn. MVB Bank and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board are among the named users.

CEO and co-founder Nanda Santhana says the next generation of enterprise infrastructure will be built around orchestrating the right data at the right time rather than moving more of it. The fresh capital will fund product development ahead of new capabilities DataBahn plans to preview at Black Hat USA 2026.
